Norwich & Norfolk University Hospital, Breast Imaging Department
A chance to work with Sue Ridge. We met while working on the Norwich Castle project and talked about doing something together. We managed to win the commission to create work for the Breast Imaging Department at the hospital. My contribution was to take Norfolk landscape images, for Sue to create large scale pieces. Sue is a very experienced artist from whom I learned a great deal I the process. Waterways Project New Writing Partnership & Norwich City Council - 2006 A collaboration with my wife, the Bloodaxe poet Helen Ivory. We were among a number of other artists selected to make work in response to the history and use of the River Wensum in Norwich. IT was part of a Europe wide Water City project. We chose to work at Lava Ignite nightclub, which is located in the new Riverside Complex on the site, which cattle used to use as a watering hole before going to market. I used the experience of working with Sue to produce large-scale work, combining images and Helen’s words. We made five pieces for exhibition at the club. |
